Infected With SystemDoctor HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unread postby computer_break_down » July 10th, 2006, 6:33 pm

Okay getting the popups and such. First ones I was getting were titled systemdoctor. Now I'm getting more and different ones but from what I've read it's the systemdoctor creating other spyware.

So I've scanned my system with several online virus scans. It took out a few things. Scanned with ad-aware and spybot. Took out some more stuff.

Then I did the hijack thing and I've got the log here.

Pleeeease someone help me. Thanks.

You're running an unpatched version of XP. You need to get it updated.

Download and install SP1a from here:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/wi ... nload.html

Post a new HijackThis log when you've got that done.

First of all: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PROMPT REPLY. You wouldn't belive the heartache I've been having with this machine. I had my memory card burn out. Took me forever to figure that out. In that time I had to reinstall windows a couple of times until I finally replaced the card. So it wiped out all my updates. Then when I go to reupdate microsoft wants me to do sp2 first. For some reason it won't let my computer start properly and gives me a stop 0X00000024 error blue screen. (And it's not the new memory card: it shows its compatable) So then I have to go in safe mode and go back to a restore point. So in trying to figure out why I can't update to sp2 I got all kinds of infected with worms. Having some major problems. Didn't know I could download sp1 first. Will do that I & then send you another hijack log.
Thanks again so much for working with me.

The infections may have been part of what was causing the issue with updating to SP2. Have seen that happen before. Updating to SP2 doesn't work well on infected machines.

Post your new log when you've updated to SP1a.
