Hello devilishia,

Welcome to the MalWare Removal forums! My name is Tim. I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that happens.

In order to help me help you, please observe the following while we work:

1. If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't continue, we don't want to start all over again!

2. Understand that cleaning your computer can sometimes take multiple passes/posts,
and it's important to follow the steps as listed including re-running scans as listed

3. Please reply to this thread, do not start another.

If you can do those three things, everything should go smoothly.

Hello devilishia,

Until we make sure you are free of malware(not infected) please do not run any P2P program.
I also have link you can look at to see information on P2P programs that are safe and ones that are infected to help you know which ones to stay away from. http://p2p.malwareremoval.com/

Morpheus tools bars are known to come bundle with Malware
Click Start]>Run, type in appwiz.cpl and hit Enter.
From the list, uninstall
  • Morpheus
  • All instants of Morpheus listed in add/remove program list.
Now reboot computer.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These programs can prevent malware clearing. Please disable them if you have them running
.
Windows Defender
We need to temporarily disable the Real-time Protection on Windows Defender as it may interfere with the HijackThis fixes we make.
  • Open Windows Defender
  • Click Tools => General Settings
  • Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
  • Click Save
  • Close Windows Defender
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please follow all instructions as specified. Print these instructions to ensure all are followed.

Please download the following programs, but do not run them yet:

* rdrivRem.zip
  • Unzip it to your desktop.

-----------------------------------------------------
I see you already have Ewido installed
Open and check for lalest updates this is very important when finished
Close Ewido.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please do next:
  • Download CCleaner from here Do not run yet will let you know when.
  • Double click on the file to start the installation of the program.
  • Select your language and click OK, then next.
  • Read the license agreement and click I Agree. Watch screen when installing and uncheck block Ccleaner Yahoo Toolbar it is optional
  • Click next to use the default install location. Click Install then finish to complete installation.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Run HijackThis. Place a check next to the following items, if found, and click FIX CHECKED:

O2 - BHO: XBTBPos00 - {E552EEFC-DE97-45D4-BA1A-F534A1B4A579} - C:\PROGRA~1\MORPHE~1\MORPHE~1.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: Morpheus Toolbar - {119DBEDA-9c41-4F97-94B4-B6BCD01133CF} - C:\Program Files\Morpheus Toolbar\morpheustoolbar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O9 - Extra button: Morpheus Toolbar - {119DBEDA-9c41-4F97-94B4-B6BCD01133CF} - C:\Program Files\Morpheus Toolbar\morpheustoolbar.dll

O23 - Service: wins.exe - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\wins.exe

Close HiJackThis.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight "Safe Mode" then hit enter.

1.) Please go into the rdrivrem folder and double-click rdrivRem.bat to run the program - follow the instructions on the screen. After it's complete, rdriv.txt will be created in the rdrivRem folder.

  • Click on scanner top of Ewido screen
  • Click on Settings
  • Under How to Act click on Recommended Action choose Quarantine

  • Under What to scan select scan every file
  • Click On scan Tab
  • Click on Complete system scan
  • Let the program scan the machine It can take awhile give it time.
  • When scan has finished At bottom of screen.

    • At the bottom of the window click on the Apply all Actions button. (3)
      Image
  • Click Save report
  • Click Save Report as (Save as window's screen should pop up.)
  • Click desktop

3.)CCleaner
  • Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
  • On the "Windows" tab, under "Internet Explorer," uncheck "Cookies" if you do not want them deleted. (If deleted, you will likely need to reenter your passwords at all sites where a cookie is used to recognize you when you visit).
  • If you use either the Firefox or Mozilla browsers, the box to uncheck for "Cookies" is on the Applications tab, under Firefox/Mozilla.
  • Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours."
  • Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
  • Caution: It is not recommended that you use the "Issues" feature unless you are very familiar with the registry as it has been known to find legitimate items.
  • After CCleaner has completed its process, click Exit.
  • Shutdown/restart the computer.

4.) After Ccleaner! is finished

Reboot your computer into normal mode.

5.) Make sure your firewall is on. Make sure you can turn it off then turn it back on and that nothing is greyed out.
Also, Make sure your Anti-Virus program is working properly - you can turn on and off auto-protect, etc.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6.)Run an online scan at Kaspersky

If you have a and extra tool that blocks popups(I hear beep when mine pops it) you will have to click on it and allow Kaspersky 's popup link.

  • Please go here to run Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner.
  • You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:

    1. Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    • Extended

    2. Scan Options:
    • Scan Archives
    • Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan, select My Computer.
  • This will scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button, and save it to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

This is how you can tell if you have Nvidia graphics card.
Right click on My Computer. Choose Properties. Click the Hardware Tab. Click the Device Manager button. Click the "+" beside Display Adapters to expand it. There it should list what kind of Video Card is installed.
Reply back and let me know what it says.

Hi devilishia,
Thanks for posting logs. Ok Please do the following.

Stop and Disable Process
  • Go to Start>Run
  • Type in services.msc
  • Hit Enter
  • Locate NVIDIA Driver Helper Service right click choose Properties
  • Stop the service and change the Startup Type to Disabled
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's delete that service
  • Start HijackThis...
  • Click "Config" button
  • Click "Misc Tools" button
  • click "Delete an NT Service" button
  • Copy and Paste the bold text below in the "Delete an NT Service" window
      NVSvc
  • Click "OK"
  • Close HijackThis

Next do the following;

Start HijackThis as you did to generate a log, but this time click on 'Do a system scan only'.
Place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:(some may not be present just move to next)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [*nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [*nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe

After you check these items, close all browsers and windows, except for HijackThis, then click on the Fix Checked button on HijackThis.
-------------------------------------------------------

To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:
  • Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
  • Double-click on the My Computer icon (or click Start, then select My Computer)
  • Select the Tools menu (at top of screen) and click Folder Options.
  • After the new window appears select the View tab.
  • Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
  • Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
  • Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
  • Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:

    1) Restart your computer
    2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site: http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deleting Files and Folders

Use Explorer to navigate to and delete the following files and/or folders (if they are present):

Files:

  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe

Reboot normally .

Hi devilishia,

We will get your PC clean don't worry. Some just take more steps than others. Your are doing a fine job. Let's try something a little different.
Please do the following.

Start HijackThis as you did to generate a log, but this time click on 'Do a system scan only'.
Place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:(some may not be present just move to next)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [*nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [*nvsvc32] C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.ex

After you check these items, close all browsers and windows, except for HijackThis, then click on the Fix Checked button on HijackThis.
-------------------------------------------------------

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit..

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button
    .
  • Please copy the file path below to the clipboard by highlighting it and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Please post a new HJT log
