I ran ad-aware, found a few Items. Cannot run SpyBot Says I do not have rights to use the file.

I am currently looking over your log. As I am an Undergraduate, everything that I post to you must be checked by an Expert. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long. I will post back shortly with a potential fix.

Hi again. It appears you have a Delf infection. Please do the following to get rid of it:

Download win32delfkil.exe: http://users.telenet.be/marcvn/tools/win32delfkil.exe
Save it on your desktop.
Double click on win32delfkil.exe and install it. This creates a new folder on your desktop: win32delfkil
Close all windows, open the win32delfkil folder and double click on fix.bat.

The computer will reboot automatically.
If you are using windows 2000, it is possible that you will have to restart the computer manually. If so, a message will appear.
After the reboot the infection should be killed.

Post a new HJT log.

While Delf is now gone, it looks like you've also been infected with Alfa Cleaner. We'll take care of that now.

  • Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
    http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
    Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.
    Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
    Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
    This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed.


Reboot your PC and post the rapport.txt log as well as a new HJT log. :)

I got in too big of a hurry and decided to run a virus clean program.
I used vcleaner from grisoft.com. Found a ton of virus's Bugbear, etc.

rebooted after cleaning the virus's and now I cannot get back into the computer. It appears that I have hosed it.

Instead of the logon with icons that is typical of XP I get the more traditonal logon screen with just a line for the name and a line for the password. I enter the correct information and it starts the logon but then immediately logs off. A never ending loop.

If I try to log on as administrator, it tells me the account is restricted.
If I try to log on in Safe mode as Administrator, it just immediatly logs me off again.

I have tried all options, safe mode, safe mode with netowrking, safe mode with command prompt.

I cannot seem to get into the system at all.

So it appears that the only solution I have at this time is a reformat and reload.

Before you do a reformat, let me speak with some of the experts here. There may be another way to fix your problem other than starting over(by reformating).

Hi again.

I have spoken with the experts and, unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any well-known way of fixing your problems other than a reformat.
