Web Page Extensions

Unread postby tommyk » August 19th, 2013, 8:30 am

Recently I've been getting I guess Pop Ups, but before going to the pop up I get a message saying it was a web page extension. It then opens up to some ad or survey, etc. I have Spyware Blaster, Avast & Malware Bytes which shows no infections or threats. I am running Foxfire. What is causing the Web Page Extensions?

I forgot to mention Avast is blocking some sites with a message: Malacious URL Blocked. Threat: URL: Mal. I even got a web page extension when I clicked on a forum topic on this site!
