I find this alarming. What scares me is that you may practice good computer habits, but have you used your credit card and does someone else now have it that does not practice good computer habits?

Also it is making our role here for malware removal more difficult. Instead of just cleaning off bad files and giving "All Clean" speech at the end, we are trying to evaluate the damage and determine whether to advise format and reinstall and give identity theft advice.

I am having difficulty now with looking up malware and reading that allows other malware to be downloaded, security settings may be lowered, etc. I am wondering what has been changed? Can it be fixed that the computer is safe to use?

Netcraft

Unread postby Hoth » March 31st, 2006, 6:16 pm

Has anyone used the Netcraft toolbar?
I find it indispensable. I love the reports and to be able to examine the info on the "trash" servers.
