WRT160N router misdirects

Unread postby Nottageek » June 19th, 2010, 1:02 pm

I had a malware problem that xixo_12 was kind enough to help me remove. :king:
I still got misdirects. I decided on a wipe and clean install.
I still got misdirected to myspace.
Then I ran into this discussion at the Cisco forum on the WRT160N router http://homecommunity.cisco.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/WRT160N-V3-has-serioius-DNS-issues/m-p/295284?view=by_date_ascending#M154543

Cisco doesn't seem to be publicly acknowledging the problem.

I have bypassed my router and plugged directly into my modem so far no problems.

Hope this is useful for some people before they wipe the HDD like I did. :pale:
