Blue Screen and crashing laptop

Unread postby confused63 » May 16th, 2010, 2:47 pm

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me with a question. I was here a while back to get rid of some malware, but after, and probably also before. I have had my laptop crash quite often, twice now I have also had message about Blue Screen...

I'm not very into the mechanics of laptops/pc's more into just using them for what I need to do with it... therefore I'm here to ask for some guidance, not sure if it has to do with malware or not... and am a bit afraid to start doing things on the laptop to 'cure' it... might do more damage .... and not sure what sites to trust when it comes to follow instructions to deal with things...

My laptop has crashed at least twice when I tried to upload photos to facebook, it just went dead in the middle, could it be that I tried to upload too many photos in one go, is there a limit to how many you should upload in one go??

Also I'm a bit lazy... and leave my laptop on stand by in stead of turning it off. Often when I come back to use it, it has crashed, and I den come to a page where it says, it recommends strongly that I let it scann the drive for any errors, sometimes it seemt to find something and sorts it out... but then it happens again...

And so it has been doing quite a lot lately.

Anyone have any thoughts of what is going on? Should I just not leave it on stand by and not upload so many photos...?

If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful, maybe you can point me to some direction where to check what is wrong or something...

Thank you so much
