Potential For Threat-Possibly a Vundo

Unread postby lildon012 » May 4th, 2010, 12:38 am

Here it is. Basically, my computer was beginning to show signs of a virus, and me having dealt with these things rather successfully, and sometimes unsuccessfully in the past has taken the liberty of taking action. Therefore, I began downloading the best Malware removal software, Malware Bytes, SP-S&D, and Super Anti Spyware. Originally, my Malware Byte's detected a few viruses, here is the log from my first scan after my suspicions:

Moving on, this was my first scan that brought up results, me, knowing how viruses work figured that it wasn't over at that point, so I proceeded to download extra Malware removal tools. I did another scan with Malware Bytes and here is the second log:

After this I did yet another scan, knowing how persistent viruses are, and how sometimes they're hard to detect.

This was the final straw for me here after seeing this I decided that something bigger is causing this to happen. Another scan:

Be sure to check the dates on these I did my best to keep them in the right order. After these I've done exactly 4 more scans, and each is clean according to Malware Bytes, and Super Anti Spyware. I was mostly concerned when I saw the Vundo.Adware- I believe it was. The last time I dealt with one of those my computer completely shut down even after subsequent deletions of the Virtumonde virus, and runnings of Combofix.exe. Nothing worked, so you can understand my concern here. Please Help.

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
