I don't get it. I've uninstalled ERUNT. Then I tried to install it again; from a cd and I get an error message stating the setup files are corrupted. How can that be ?

Hi Steve001.

I didn't see any prompts when installing ERUNT so it did install in the Start up Folder.

When you install ERUNT you will see a popup asking Create ERUNT entry in to the Start up folder, answer NO
Delete ERUNT then install it again.
Go to C:\Program Files\ERUNT << Delete this.

This pc has two users do I need to check mark the box reading Other user registries

Just leave it at the default setting at that point.

Installing from a cd does not bring up the option to say "No"
What does appear is this C:\ProgramFiles\ERUNT

When you see Select destination location the default is C:\ProgramFiles\ERUNT
click next.
Then you will see select start menu folder, the default is ERUNT click next.
Click next at the next prompt then click install.
At this point there should be a popup asking Create ERUNT entry in to the Start up folder , thats when you select No.

That worked Thanks. I now have to copy the directions. I suggests that I log in as Admin. is that necessary ?

Just log into you're usual account if any problems use Admin.

I think I've got bigger problems then a virus.
I'm getting more often when trying to complete operations this BSOD

begining dump of physical memory.

And

stop: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x8062CA9, 0xF7AB165C,

The pc keeps wanting to send a error report at other non BSOD times.

If I had paid attention I'd expect to see other mysterious lines of meaningless to me munbers and letters

I'll get back to you at some later date.

Hi Steve001.
You're PC is in such an unstable condition it is impossible to attempt to clean it at this point.
The problems you are having could be caused by a number of things including the below.
A faulty video card, Video driver, faulty RAM or a problem with the motherboard.
These issues are outside the scope of this forum which is primarily for malware removal.
I can only advise you to do one of the following, take you're PC to a IT Repair shop or visit a specialized tech site such as the following.

• General Hardware
