CSC.sys infection.

Unread postby Chaz666 » April 20th, 2010, 2:29 pm

ok, about a month ago i contracted pdfupd.exe infection, as well as sdra64.exe . i managed to stop it from doing anything, thought i removed it, yet aparently not. srda64.exe launches on startup under winlogon.exe (process explorer - sysinternals). but its elevated, i get web pages opening, yet usally the links they launch to dont work anyway. But now its gone ott. every 15 odd seconds AVG pops up detecting CSC.sys as an infection. move to vault, or as power user, it disapears, and again every 15 seconds odd. making writnig this extruciating. In my quest to fix it, AVG scan detected many trojans, bt removed easily. And in Temporary internet files, found an infected file, linking to CSC.sys, delete, still happens. tried scanning with AVG free, AdAware SE free, bt to no avail. got CCleaner, tried that, bt no cigar.

infection located at -- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CSC.sys
virus identified Win32/Patched.DO
