[Help] Need a checkup...

Unread postby MilkCheesecake » April 16th, 2010, 1:58 am

(Using Vista Version Build 6.0)

I have done several McAfee scans.

Results always show that nothing is infected and that there are no viruses.

However based on personal experience, I can tell I have been infected.

Some instances such as weird startup experiences requiring a restart or two before fully functionally starting up...

I need help.

Cheers~

P.S. I've registered for this university and made it to about the 3rd level however I was immediately tackled with a busy schedule for months so I was not able to continue. Having more free time now I'm reconsidering my come back to this wonderful place. :)

My bad, I thought if it didn't say Service Pack 1, I'd have already had SP2 installed.

If I download and install SP2, will I still be able to get help?

Cheers~

Service Packs should only be installed on a malware-free computer:

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=50380

We're sorry, but it is necessary to close your topic because you have replied to it prior to receiving a response from a helper.

Due to adding on to your topic with your second post it is highly unlikely that you would have received a response. Our helpers are looking for topics with zero responses. When you post replies to your own topic, it no longer has zero responses, and so it appears that you have received help when in fact, you have not.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Malware Removal forum and wait for assistance. Please do not run additional programs and/or post additional logs. Just your HijackThis log to start with is adequate. Your helper will ask for additional logs as needed. DO NOT reply to your own topic until you have received a response from a helper. Be patient. There are others who have been waiting longer than you, so do not expect an immediate reply.
