I'm having more trouble with ERUNT on my new laptop (windows 7). I right click and select "run as administrator", then click "yes" to allows it to run. I click OK, then OK to start the backup, and it comes up with an error "Access violation at address 00403A38 in module 'ERUNT.EXE'. Read of address 0076005D." Then clicking OK to that, nothing else happens, but I can't close the window either. I can close by right clicking on the taskbar icon. The addresses change each time.

ETA: I also can't run Flash Disinfector on my new laptop.

Hi. :)

The software may be hindered by a specific operating system setting and or just incompatible with Windows7. I'm afraid this is somewhat outside of my sphere of knowledge as primarily I only provide Anti-Malware support.

You could however consider just using the Windows7 in-built Back-up feature:-

Windows 7 - Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Or seek assistance about this at one of the below forums. I am a member of both of the below myself and they have outstanding IT Tech Support Staff:

Since this topic pertained to a malware removal for your husbands laptop and a malware check for your other computer, both of which to the best of my abilities I deem malware free. Could you please acknowledge this post and I in turn will both close and archive it, thank you.

Absolutely. This has been a huge help, and I'm not sure saying thanks is enough!
