Thank you, yes I did that. I am wondering about something that is new though, when I start my comp I get a black screen with writting on it before the windows screen comes on. It goes away too fast for me to read any of it. Should I be concerned?

No, not at all. That is a safety screen that would allow a technician to boot a "Recovery Console" in case your Windows became unworkable.
It was installed because removing malware sometimes can be a bit risky, and it provided another avenue for repair in case something had gone wrong. It's harmless, and you can ignore it.
