Hi,

Please have a look on the bold sentences as below.
I wouldn't start to give any advice until I get better clarification from you.
Discussion.
    1. Can you explain the purpose of quoted installed programs as below? Do you use them in your business?
    PGP Desktop
    WebEx

    2. Can I know where do you get this copy of Windows?

This is for your reference :
PGP Desktop - http://www.pgp.com/
WebEx - http://www.webex.com/

Both of the programs is not so normal to the domestic usage (personal use).
I would say it's more like business purpose to me.

Please put the explanation on it.
Thank you. :)

WebEx is almost purely used for commercial purposes. Someone sends you a link and you can all see the senders desktop displaying a slide deck or other online presentation.

PGP is a mix. My version is a single license copy which is consumer oriented. They have a business product but this is not that version.

Hi,

Information.
Thank you for clarification about the purpose of this laptop/PC. Even though the purpose of this laptop/PC toward business is so small, but it still have a relation.
If I could point you in the direction of our rules, which state under Posting for help for business machine:
This forum was set up specifically to help home users, our volunteer helpers choose not to work on business machines.

Computers used in a business environment often have policies and other modifications made to them. It is impossible for us to differentiate these from ones that have been made by an infection, so in removing what we think is an infection, we may compromise the business set up of your computer.

The scans we run often reveal information that most businesses would not want exposed in an open forum, and there are other legal constraints and ramifications involved with business machines that we are not equipped or trained to deal with.

We will close any topic where we believe the computer is one that is used in a business environment, irrespective of whether that business is a large company or a small one man enterprise.

Source : Posting for help for business machines

***Reminder : If you ask for help and unknown to us while it's involves a business computer, you need to understand that any damages resulting from our advices are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

Options:
  • If it is a corporate computer, it is suggested that you take this issue to your IT department.
  • If this is a personal computer used for business (personal or corporate), it is suggested that you take this issue to your IT department, or your local PC repair store.
  • Please let me know you have read this so that the topic can be closed. I am sorry I can not be of further assistance.

Thank you for your understanding.

This is a privately owned computer used sometimes for business purposes. I understand the restrictions on the help and would like to get on with it. If I need to low level reformat the drive I am ready to but if I can save doing that ; it is why I am looking for help.

Please let me know soonest next steps, if any.

In your last post you've indicated that this machine is used for a small percentage of business use.

This forum was set up specifically to help home users, we do not work on business machines.

I'm sorry but we can't help you further.

I suggest you contact your IT Department, or whoever normally deals with technical issues in your company, and let them know your computer is infected. If it has been connected to a company network whilst infected, then that too may be compromised and will need to be checked.
