Mouse Moves Without Touching It

A friend of mine purchased a computer a few days ago from somone he knew. The original owner informed him that there was a "virus of some kind" on the computer and that he had downloaded and installed software from P2P programs. My friend brought this computer to me a couple of days ago and I have run it pretty much day and night for the past 3 days. What I have noticed is this. Around 8:00 PM each night the mouse starts to move on it's own. It will click on items on the desktop and even move some open windows around on the screen. I let it run all night one night and the next morning there were new file folders on the desktop that it had created. I disconnected completely from the internet and the mouse still moves so I'm thinking it is not someone connecting remotely to the computer. I have my own desktop system connected to my wireless router and nothing has happened to my computer. During the day, the mouse does not move or do anything unless I move it myself. It only happens around 8:00 each night. (I think, but I'm not sure, it stops around 11:00 each night)

I see from your HJT log that you're using a 64 bit operating system.

Unfortunately, the tools we use to analyze and remove infections do not work properly on a 64 bit operating system, and their results cannot be relied upon. Because of this, it is almost impossible for us to correctly diagnose problems, and the fixes we might offer could potentially do as much damage to your computer as any infection you might have.

Due to the above stated reasons, we do not at this time offer support for 64 bit operating systems. We are sorry that we are currently unable to assist you.
