Trojan Peed Gen

Hi there, recently my laptop has been attacked by this trojan peed gen. The virus is in my portable hardrive that contain my data and the virus is actually the folder. I double-clicked on the folder like usual to access my file (My anti virus at that time has expired). Finally, I got myself another antivirus which eventually detected the virus when I try to access the folder. That time I understand why is my computer and internet connection was performing slower than normal.

Anway, I did a re-installation of my system and here's what I got :
1. My laptop still running very slow (it freezes for a second sometimes). I'm running a Windows Vista Home Edition
2. My data folder in my portable harddrive has gone because my anti virus cannot repair it. Instead, it stored on its virus chest

Here's my question :
1. Can someone check if my computer is cleaned ? What is the cause of the slow performance ?
2. How do I save my data folder ? It is infected with Win32.Dropped.Peed.Gen
