Hello and Welcome to the forums!

My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that it happens.

Before we start: Please be aware that removing Malware is a potentially hazardous undertaking. I will take care not to knowingly suggest courses of action that might damage your computer. However it is impossible for me to foresee all interactions that may happen between the software on your computer and those we'll use to clear you of infection, and I cannot guarantee the safety of your system. It is possible that we might encounter situations where the only recourse is to re-format and re-install your operating system, or to necessitate you taking your computer to a repair shop.

Because of this, I advise you to backup any personal files and folders before you start.

Somethings to remember while we are working together.

1.Please do not run any other tool untill instructed to do so!
2.Please reply to this thread, do not start another!
3.Please tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
4.Please tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
5.Please try as much as possible not to run anything while executing a fix.

If you follow these instructions, everything should go smoothly.

:run combofix:

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode.
This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.
    Please continue as follows:

    • Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
    • Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the report in your next post:

    C:\ComboFix.txt

uninstall list

Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

    1. Start HijackThis
    2. Click on the Config button
    3. Click on the Misc Tools button
    4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
    5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.

:information and logs:

In your next post I need the following

      1.log from combofix
      2.uninstall list from hijackthis
      3.new hijackthis log

hello Jobuck

:Run CFScript:

Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the box into the window:

Code: Select all
File::
c:\program files\3440ae24.efx
c:\windows\system32\defiyage.dll
c:\windows\system32\newakoja.dll
c:\windows\system32\sudijaji.dll
c:\windows\system32\veyesera.exe
c:\windows\system32\yejoheti.dll

Save it to your desktop as CFScript.txt

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe
Image
This will let ComboFix run again.
Restart if you have to.
Save the produced logfile to your desktop.

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

NOTE**
  • When ComboFix finishes running, the ComboFix log will open along with a message box--do not be alarmed. With the above script, ComboFix will upload files to submit for analysis.
  • Ensure you are connected to the internet and click OK on the message box.

: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware :

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is Checked (ticked) except items in the C:\System Volume Information folder and click on Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. please copy and paste the log into your next reply
    • If you accidently close it, the log file is saved here and will be named like this:
    • C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\mbam-log-date (time).txt

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

:information and logs:

In your next post I need the following

    1. let me have the log from combofix
    2. log from MBAM
    3. new log from hijackthis
    4. let me know of any problems you may have had
    5. How is the computer doing now?

Good Evening

As of yet nothing has popped back up nor has my system been acting slowly!
that is great news!!!

as I have been having to operate in safe mode to access my desktop-
is this still true - you can only access safe mode at this time or can you now get into normal mode?

:Run CFScript:

Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the box into the window:

Code: Select all
File::
c:\windows\system32\firowazo.exe
c:\windows\system32\hozekopo.dll
c:\windows\system32\pofokago.dll
c:\windows\system32\zedomoje.dll

Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"situjabos"=-

GMER:

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here or here.
  • Extract the contents of the zipped file to desktop.
  • Double click GMER.exe. If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent .
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan...click on NO, then use the following settings for a more complete scan..
Image
  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Uncheck the following ...
    • Sections
    • IAT/EAT
    • Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
    • Show All (don't miss this one)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
  • Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "ark.txt" or it will save as a .log file which cannot be uploaded to your post.
Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop

**Caution**
Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<--- ROOKIT" entries

:information and logs:

In your next post I need the following

    1. log from combofix
    2. log from Gmer
    3. let me know of any problems you may have had
    4. How is the computer doing now?

Gringo-she is all god-thank you so very much again!
New system new issue I would like to toss at you!
Changed video card from pci express to pci but twice the speed-
This was done in error as I was sold wrong card but used it anyway.
EVGA 9600GT
Called tech support twice as it runs way too slow & choppy in BF2
was told to test system did and performance was at 540 while top performance runs at 11000.
Said I might have gotten band mojo that was drilled down into the kernal and I would need to remove the updated drivers for the new software.
So he had me run another program to remove them and it did as my video setting went to the lowest possible settings.
SO I reinstalled latest driver and no change in performace.
I was then told to do a system restore and have not been able to get my XP to restore any dates at all.
I read that norton antivirus can block this from taking place so I shut it all down and still no restore.
Aside from clearing my entire drive and reinstalling everything-is there another option to my situation.
Damn long question-I guess I was venting also so thanks!
