Hi all
I have been directed here from PC advisor form as I have problems with Iwantsearchbar, and have been unable to get rid of them

For a couple of months now superantispyware and Malwarebytes has shown my PC to be infected by "Iwantsearchbar" after scan is completed both software says you must reboot , I do and it says removal was carried out sucssfully, but every time I run scans the same thing shows up again.

I emailed superantisryware and they said just allow it, as it is not dangerous, but I would like to see it gone.
I did Google it but all of the posts i found were from 2004 and links did not work.

There are no SBSoft entries in add/remove.

Im not very techie but I really need to get rid of these so any help welcome
Can anyone help please

Hi missmuffit,

By posting just a description of your problems it is likely that your topic will be passed by and you will not receive the help you're looking for.

We need to know what's running on your computer so that we can give you appropriate instructions, and this information is provided by a HijackThis log.

This thread will now be closed.

If you still need help, please start a new thread with:-
  • A HijackThis log.
  • Details of the problems you're experiencing.
  • Any messages or error codes you may have got.

If for any reason you can't run HijackThis, please let us know in your post.
