2(csrss.exe) files killing my pc - HJT file in post

Unread postby renosparx » August 22nd, 2009, 7:03 pm

A few days ago I found my new laptop suddenly freezing up, followed by an absence of an internet connection.

I have ran AVG, Prevx, and Avast and all shows clean and clear but two exact files reading csrss.exe, along with too many svchost.exe progams to count rack up over 900,000,000K in the course of a few mins from logging into Windows Vistax64. I am unable to right click on anything now without the PC freezing up, and I am afraid of having to wipe everything and start clean because I do not have an external backup sourse for my writings/music at this time.

Cmd.exe*32 appears off and on replacing one of the 2 csrss.exe files about every 5 seconds or so. Iexplore.exe*32 keeps duplicating itself in my proccess under the Task Mgr and will work at over 100,000,000K before 60 seconds pass. Tons of applications show active under my Task Mgr that are not even active and running under the startup section.

Following is the HijackThis log - any assistance would be greatly appreciated.I am crushed, and begging for any assistance that can be offered....

Re: 2(csrss.exe) files killing my pc - HJT file in post

I see from your HJT log that you're using a 64 bit operating system.

Unfortunately, the tools we use to analyze and remove infections do not work properly on a 64 bit operating system, and their results cannot be relied upon. Because of this, it is almost impossible for us to correctly diagnose problems, and the fixes we might offer could potentially do as much damage to your computer as any infection you might have.

Due to the above stated reasons, we do not at this time offer support for 64 bit operating systems. We are sorry that we are currently unable to assist you.
