While we should indeed support the electronic security community i think it's absurd that he is to be extradited while people who may have committed genocide are allowed to stay. I understand this is not the place for a discussion on the matter but just wanted to share my thoughts.

*Indeed an extraordinary case.
If an "amateur hacker" can find his way into all these systems and cause so much damage. what are the professionls doing?

If you don't want to go to American prison, don't hack military computers.

The yanks should offer him a job finding the weaknesses in their system.

In the meantime 'Asperger's Syndrome'/'Autistic' sufferer Gary McKinnon has been in limbo for 7 years waiting to find what will become of him.

I have no personal opinion or personal affiliation with any media, legal authority, or institutions regarding this case. The complexities involved here have floundered the U.K. and U.S. legal systems; blurring each of our liberties as online computer users, extraordinary.
