Hi MacacaFascicula,

My name is DFW, and I will be helping you to remove any infection(s) that you may have.

Please observe the following points and rules while we work:

Perform all actions and fix's in the order given in each post
If you don't know or understand something please don't hesitate to ask.
Only reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
Please do not try and clean your computer with any tools other than the ones I ask you to use during the cleanup process.
Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear,

Please note! that all instructions given in this topic are customised for this computer and Infections only, the tools or Fix's used may cause damage if used on a different computer or infection.

There are signs that you have been, and could be still infected, can you give me a brief history as to what has been going on,
and any actions you have taken.

Also I cannot see any signs of a Antivirus in your log, have you uninstalled it, or is it just not running for some reason, if you do not have one installed, follow the directions below....

Anti-virus software are programs that detect, cleanse, and erase harmful virus files on a computer, Web server, or network.
Unchecked, virus files can unintentionally be forwarded to others, including trading partners and thereby spreading infection. Because new viruses regularly emerge, anti-virus software should be updated frequently.
Anti-virus software can scan the computer memory and disk drives for malicious code. They can alert the user if a virus is present, and will clean, delete (or quarantine) infected files or directories.
Please download a free anti-virus software from one these excellent vendors NOW:
But only ever install and run one AV program at a time

1) Antivir PersonalEditionClassic
-Free anti-virus software for Windows.
-Detects and removes more than 50,000 viruses. Free support.
2) avast! 4 Home Edition
-Anti-virus program for Windows.
-The home edition is freeware for noncommercial users.

Download to your desktop [b]DDS
from one of the links below:

Link 1
Link 2
  • Double click the tool to run it.
  • A black Screen will open, just read the contents and do nothing.
  • When the tool finish it will open 2 reports.
  • Copy/paste both reports back here and remove DDS from your desktop.

Please post back by copy and pasting into the topic both DDS Logs

I have downloaded the Antivir and the desktop [b]DDS.

I'm not sure if my problems are hardware, software or internet...or all!

I have been having issues with slow window starts, while on the internet my pages are loading slower. Online video or streaming is very slow. Overall, the performance of my computer does not seem at it's norm. I have not taken any actions as of yet besides running Hijackthis.

I attached the "attach.txt" log, If you would like me to copy and paste, i can do so.

DDS.txt Log:

Hi MacacaFascicula,

Your logs have show some very nasty infections, the first HJT Log you posted showed this line, which showed that this infection has been on board your system

BHO: Google plugin: {f6e0ef5f-5f03-43f9-8e02-bbaaa95eaa9c} - nods32.dll

Which is a Trogan banker, this steals information such as bank accounts and credit card details from your computer and sends it to the attacker

Info http://www.pctools.com/mrc/infections/id/Trojan.Banker/
http://www.systemlookup.com/CLSID/56107 ... t_dll.html

Also showing is this c:\documents and settings\marten\ftp34.dll
Info http://www.greatis.com/appdata/d/f/ftp34.dll.htm

This Backdoor Trogan arrives onto your system with other Malware

Info http://www.prevx.com/filenames/X2283932 ... O.EXE.html

I am sorry to say this but, this is what happens when you run a system without Antivirus, you were advised back in Aug 2008 when you came here
before with a Malware problem to install one..

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=33488&p=334165

Backdoor Trojans are the most dangerous and most widespread type of Trojan. Backdoor Trojans provide the author or "master" of the Trojan with remote "administration" of victim machines.
they install, launch and run invisibly, without the consent or knowledge of the user. Once installed, Backdoor Trojans can be instructed to send, receive, execute and delete files, harvest confidential data from the computer,
log activity on the computer and give your attacker opportunity to have a "look round" your computer. During that time he/she can have made any number of modifications to your system,
some of which may be in areas we don't usually scan, and we can not say what damage has been done to your system files, that are causing problems now or in the furture

Your PC is compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted, Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan,
the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but DO NOT use this machine for any banking or other financial transactions, if you have been,
Go to a clean computer, change ALL your online passwords -- for ISP login, email, banks, financial accounts, PayPal, eBay, online companies, and any online forums or groups you belong to.

How do I respond to a possible identity theft and how do I prevent it
When should I do a reformat and reinstallation of my OS
Where to backup your files
How to backup your files in Windows XP
Restoring your backups

Doing a reformat and reinstall, would be the safest way to clean your system, and would guarantee that all the infection is gone, trying to clean it would take probably twice as long
and There is NO GUARANTEE it will be clean, also as it has been online without a AV we would NEVER KNOW of all the damage done.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but a reformat is the best way to go for your sake.

Do you have any questions, I will then post you some information on how to protect your system afterwards???

Also are you going to need help with this, I could give you some links to very good forums that will be able to help.

The re-format process will wipe the computer's hard drive clean, destroying all data and programs installed, so please make sure you back-up all data before re-formatting
the computer's hard drive. This includes address books, email accounts, documents, music, settings, saved games, and anything else not obsolete.
here is some information to help you
http://www.microsoft.com/protect/yourse ... ackup.mspx

With reference to passwords, if you have been using this system for banking etc, Go to a clean computer and change ALL your online passwords --
for ISP login, email, banks, financial accounts, PayPal, eBay, online companies, and any online forums or groups you belong to.

Make sure you have the Install files and keycodes for Windows, printers, and all your software..

You are going to need to backup things like, Hardware drivers, email accounts, address book and contacts, photos, doc's and anything that does not get reinstalled with windows
All these items will be fine.

If you are going to need help, here is some good free forums, they can guide you on the data backup and windows install process

Whatever you backup, once you have re-installed windows and added all security programs, just give the backups a scan before you copy it back to your clean system

Physically unplug the computer from the Internet before re-formatting.
Do not go back online untill you are protected by a hardware firewall, NAT router, or a software firewall, and have Installed a ANTIVIRUS, or you can be infected in a few seconds
Then visit the windows updates and download install all Critical updates, keep revisting untill all are downloaded and installed.

Here is some tools to install once you are reformatted, download them, save them to a CD/DVD or drive, then install them before you go back online

1) Antivir PersonalEditionClassic
-Free anti-virus software for Windows.
-Detects and removes more than 50,000 viruses. Free support.
2) avast! 4 Home Edition
-Anti-virus program for Windows.
-The home edition is freeware for noncommercial users.

I see you use Firefox, NoScript and AdBlockPlus addons are essential

Hi MacacaFascicula

You have been here with an infected computer more than once now, and on each occasion you have had no protection fitted.

Should you turn up here again with an infection and without the protection advised by your last helper, we will refuse to help you.

There is little point in us wasting our time cleaning you up if you're going to take no responsibility for your own safety.

This topic is now closed.
