Night-Walker wrote:Hmm... Night-Walker.

Somehow related to the jedi character Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars? or even the story itself?
no, no. Although I confess it fascinates to see the light sabers fight.

Related to the anime character created by Ayana Itsuki, NightWalker_the midnight detective?
no. Not even knew about this anime when I thought to create this name for the first time...

Actually the name is related to Halloween (Samhäin), october 31, which is also my birth date.

It combine two elements conveniently choosen from it: NIGHT, 'cos all hallow's evening is celebrated in the night. WALKER, because of the wandering spirits of those who have gone in a long journey.

Isn't a nightwalker a vampire? Image I like vampire better than the definitions I found!

Go on then... i'll 'bite' ;)

(one for you there Gary R!) :laughing3:

Ahem, anyways:

Apparently, when i was young i was infatuated with a certain TV show (no one can remember which) in which one of the characters would reply "Darn Tootin'!" if he enthusiastically agreed with another character. This stuck with me, as if i was asked anything like "Want some beans?" i'd reply "Darn Tootin'!"

In the mid '90s a friend of mine introduced me to computers and Mirc. He said i needed a nick name, and so DaRn_tOoTiN was born.

I grew up a little, and changed to 'DarnTootin' after a year or so.

After a while of the chatrooms this was reduced to 'Darn' for short.

A number of years later, my Girlfriend wanted to know about this 'interwebby thing' so we created her a hotmail address. Since she had no imagination, (bitter? me? not at all! ) She decided to go with 'Miss Darn'. Of course this created confusion, so i became Mr Darn.

After we split, i went back to Darn for a while, but the 'Mr D' stuck, so i went back to the full whack.

And there we have it! Image

:o Could it have been Walter Brennan ( Grandpa Amos McCoy ) from the old “Real McCoys” TV series?
