Hello selene0018,

Good job :)
All looks clean now.
Please Copy/Print out the below information for easy reference.

Let's get that Internet Explorer Default Page out:

Go To: Start -->Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs-->> Let it fill with the items installed. It will list what shows in your uninstall log you posted.
Select Internet Explorer Default Page (Listed between Intel and iTunes)
Select Remove.
Careful of any questions that it asks, they are often used to trick users into keeping an item installed.

Exit Control Panel, reboot your computer. Check to see if it is gone from Add/Remove Programs. Also check in C:\Program Files for it or use Windows Search to locate.
*Note: The dell my way listed in your logs is set by Dell Computer. You can change that also:
Go open Internet Explorer Go on menu bar--> Tools-->Internet Options -->Select Use Blank, or http://www.dell4me.com can be typed in.
Let me know if it goes, if not we'll try another way.

Thank you

Hi,

Is there any chance that I actually DID delete the program, but it's just showing up on the uninstall list and stuff? I don't know. the computer seems to be working fine and everything, just that little detail about the internet explorer default page is bugging me, that's all. everything's normal!

Thank you for your help!

Hello selene0018,

You are very welcome. :)
It sounds like all is well now. Add/Remove list may leave an item at times even though it was removed.

Below are some tips for keeping your system more secure:

**Update your Antivirus programs and other security products regularly to avoid new threats that could infect your system.
You can use one of these sites to check if any updates are needed for your pc.
Secunia Software Inspector
F-secure Health Check

Use the following and KEEP UPDATED
A Realtime monitor : (Replaces Spybot)
Download and install the free version of WinPatrol. This program protects your computer in a variety of ways and will work well with your existing security software. Have a look at this tutorial to help you get started with the program. If you want to help the developer of the program and get more information about what the programs that you see in Winpatrol please check out Winpatrol Plus. It does not need a new download.

Should you need a new Anti Virus program again:
Antivirus: *Use only one*
AntiVir
AVAST! Anti-Virus

Should you need to add a Firewall:
Needed Firewall: Monitors traffic IN and OUT Bound. Very Important. *Use only one*
Online Armor
Comodo Personal Firewall

Java Updates: *Always remove old Java Before installing New Version*
Java Update

Test open Ports:
SheildsUp (follow the links to Shield's-Up!)

Also use online scanners as well; as some spyware/virus can disable your software. Check out these:

ActiveScan by Panda
Kaspersky Online Scanner

Install MVPS Hosts File from here
The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer.
Find Tutorial here : http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
**Should you use Noton360 or NIS do not use a HOSTS file

Please check out Tony Klein's article "How did I get infected in the first place?"

Read some information here how to prevent Malware.

Is your pc running slow?
Read What to do if your Computer is running slowly

Avoid Peer to Peer software
Although the program may be safe, where you download from are unknown computers, and as well a way Hackers get Viruses and worse on your computer.

Use an alternative Internet Browser:

Many of the exploits are directed to users of Internet Explorer. Try using a different browser instead.

Should all be well, let me know you have read this so I may have this topic closed please.
Thank you

Safe and Happy Surfing :)
