2 Trojans

Im running Windows Xp Pro and have been having problems for a while now. On start up i have to manually enable my windows firewall even though it is set to automatic, i can not defrag my internal hard drive, system restore does not have any restore points and will not let me create any. On IE some web pages that im looking for go to Myspace, Youtube and advertising pages rather than what i have typed. I'v got Avast Anti-virus and ran a scan and i have 2 Trojan's. On another forum i'v had instructions to run a full Malware Disinfection Process starting off with ATF-Cleaner that worked fine then was told to download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware which i did but it would not open. Then i downloaded SUPERAntiVirus (Free Version), when i try to open this it says it has encountered a problem and needs to close. When i go to the next step which is to visit the ESET Online Scanner using IE it says that windows can not verify the publisher. Any help would be much appreciated as the other forum has ran out of ideas.
