Hello and welcome to Malware Removal.

My name is peku006 and I will be helping you to remove any infection(s) that you may have.
I will be giving you a series of instructions that need to be followed in the order in which I give them to you.

Please observe these rules while we work:

  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • Please continue to respond until I give you the "All Clear"

If you follow these instructions, everything should go smoothly.

1 - download and run RSIT

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
Note: If you are using Windows Vista, right click at RSIT.exe and select 'Run as administrator'.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt<- (will be maximized) and info.txt<- (will be minimized)

2 - Status Check
Please reply with

1.the logs from RSIT (log.txt ,info.txt)

description of any problems you are having with your PC

Thanks peku006

My computer is running rather slowly but nothing too major. Whenever I run my anti-virus it says I have 2 warnings. I have reason to believe there's some type of malware on my system.

Hi Realtalkrobert
Whenever I run my anti-virus it says I have 2 warnings.

what kind of warnings ?

I see traces of Norton Internet Security.
If and only if, you had removed Norton Internet Security,
You should delete this file
C:\Windows\tasks\Norton Internet Security - Run Full System Scan - Robert.job

For general slowness, see here

1 - Run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

  • Open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Select the Update tab
  • Click Check for Updates
  • After the update have been completed, Select the Scanner tab.
Click on Perform full scan, then click on Scan.
  • Leave the default options as it is and click on Start Scan.
  • When done, you will be prompted. Click OK, then click on Show Results.
  • Checked (ticked) all items except items in the System Volume Information folder and click on Remove Selected.

    Image
  • After it has removed the items, Notepad will open. Please post this log in your next reply. You can also find the log in the Logs tab. The bottom most log is the latest.

2 - Run Hijackthis
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad

3 - Status Check
Please reply with

1. the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Log
2. a fresh HijackThis log
