Neighbors computer is acting up

My neighbors computer isn't booting properly and takes three or four tries to boot. Then his IE browser gets hijacked. Adaware says he has 5 infections but locks up. When I stop adaware after it finds the first threat it says Win32Rootkit.TDSS and won't remove until reboot. Of course it comes back. It will not allow me to download anything from the internet so I'm having to transfer via usb stick. Is this safe? Please help me get this thing gone..i've been at it for 2 days.

Download Combofix from any of the links below. You must rename it before saving it. Save it to your desktop.
