I recently went through a troubling time with malware 'Privacy Components'. I googled it. It's quite dangerous. With the help of a system cleaner downloaded from Trend Micro and a little finessing I got rid of it---at least I think I did. The malware blanked my screen and wouldn't let me boot up properly. You can't do much without a desktop setup with icons. I had to work around the problem using the task master. Although the system cleaner didn't identify a problem, it apparently cleared it. At least the program files of 'Privacy Components'---that I couldn't uninstall---disappeared. When I rebooted, everything seemed to be fine. But, I'm not positive there's no damage.
