A Kaspersky scan takes a long time to complete the scan, usually 2 or more hours, depending how much stuff there is on the Hard Drive. I'd let the Kaspersky scan go for at least 4 to 5 hours and if its not done by then, let me know. I'll then have you run a different online scanner. If it does finish before then post the Kaspersky Log and a fresh HiJackThis Log. :)

I was able to run it on just the critical areas. It took about 3 hours and the report said nothing detected.
I tried again to run it on the whole computer, but it just literally gets to this AVI video file and then the timer is running, but where it shows the files being scanned it just stays on the one file.

Ok, let's try a different online scanner then. :)

Please go to Eset website to perform an online scan. Please use Internet Explorer as it uses ActiveX.

  1. Check (tick) this box: YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
  2. Click on the Start button next to it.
  3. When prompted to run ActiveX. click Yes.
  4. You will be asked to install an ActiveX. Click Install.
  5. Once installed, the scanner will be initialized.
  6. After the scanner is initialized, click Start.
  7. Uncheck (untick) Remove found threats box.
  8. Check (tick) Scan unwanted applications.
  9. Click on Scan.
  10. It will start scanning. Please be patient.
  11. Once the scan is done, you will find a log in C:\Program Files\esetonlinescanner\log.txt. Please post this log in your next reply.

C:\Program Files\DVD Lab Pro 2.2 CRACK.exe

Eset found the above file. In the future, do not download cracks/warez. Its not worth it and cause all sorts of problems with your computer.

For future reference, please note this forum's rules concerning cracks:

http://www.malwareremoval.com/rules.php

Any time the helper detects that you may have illegal software on your machine, that helper may stop assisting you immediately until you can demonstrate that you have rectified the situation. We will not support fixing machines with pirated or otherwise illegal software.

Delete C:\Program Files\DVD Lab Pro 2.2 CRACK.exe from your computer.

Empty your Recycle Bin.

Let me know how it goes.

If nothing "pops up" and your computer is fine by Monday or Tuesday, let me know and I'll give you the "all-clean" speech. If something malware-related does come up let me know that as well and we'll work on fixing it.

What do these pop-ups say?

Let's start off with a fresh HiJackThis Log and we'll go from there.

The HJT log you posted looks good. Let's do a scan with MalwareBytes' to see if it picks up anything.

Before running MalwareBytes', go ahead and run CCleaner again.

Step # 1 Run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
  • Before running a scan, click the Update tab, next click Check for Updates to download any updates, if available.
  • Next click the Scanner tab and select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location.
  • You can also access the log by doing the following:
  • Click on the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware icon to launch the program.
  • Click on the Logs tab.
  • Click on the log at the bottom of those listed to highlight it.
  • Click Open.

In your next post/reply, I need to see the following:

1. MalwareBytes' Log
2. A fresh HiJackThis Log

Due to lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
