Cannot Remove 023's

Unread postby SamuelJames » January 6th, 2009, 12:35 pm

Hi : Am new here, below is a copy of my scan & I have tried to remove the 023's with "unknown owner" tags, which I believe are not necessary or could be malware.
Can anyone help me out, on how to remove these,
I run AVG for virus, and Advanced System Care Pro but would be open to other ideas on removing the spyware. I run a virus scan almost every day.
I have Vista Home Premium and it sucks with the administrator settings.
Please reply or let me know. thanks, sam.

Hi SamuelJames and sorry for delay.

Those O23 entries are both legit and vital, file missing is due to 64-bit version OS.

If you still need help, please post next a fresh HijackThis log.

thank you shaba, why do they put such things in vista, it really is not a good system. so there are no problems, i just saw so many of those 023's and wondered why i could not remove them. thanks again, would be nice if microsoft would have given us a better program.

There is nothing wrong with Vista :)

HijackThis is unable to read properly services in 64-bit Vista; that is the problem here. So issue is in HijackThis end.

Due to lack of response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
