Zlob / DNSChanger? Logs Posted.

Unread postby Jervis » December 12th, 2008, 2:56 am

General Information:
4 Computers on the Home Network using a NetGear Wireless Router (WGR614). Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware returns positive for Trojan.DNSChanger in the registry and Trojan.Downloader in the system volume for two computers on the network, the other two computers return clean.

DNS Server has been changed to 85.255.112.124 / 12, google tells me these are known yucky servers. In router settings I've tried both the get DNS server automatically option and using a OpenDNS address manually. Currently using the OpenDNS address I can finally update my Windows Defender and AVG Definitions, but I'm having trouble getting all clean and the system keeps reverting back to the yucky DNS.
