SpyBot S&D as well as Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware find and 'correct' several cases of Virtumonde every time I run them. I wish I could give more detailed information but that's about all I know.

Another problem I have is that Spybot S&D remembers my decision to not allow registry changes for BHO wesafango, as well as others that are just strings of letters and numbers ( {77c1e572. . . if I need to give the whole string I can); unfortunately this 'change' seems to be bombarding SpyBot, so the little "black list" popups come up continually and I'm a little afraid to turn off SpyBot, in case these BHO's suddenly flood my computer. I use Firefox, I'm not sure if BHO's will affect it, but I'd just rather not have them on my computer if there's a way to remove them.

Thank you so much for your help!

Hi wentwhere

To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will now be presented with a screen similar to the one below:

Image

5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.

IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Peer to Peer) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

BitTorrent DNA
LimeWire PRO 4.10.0

I'd like you to read the MRU policy for P2P Programs.

Please go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the programs listed above (in red).

Please run a new uninstall list scan when finished and post the log back here.

Due to lack of Response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
