I'm a fairly advanced user. I've had this malware for a few days and have been unsuccessful getting rid of it w/ a variety of programs and methods. As far as I can tell, what it does is cause pop up windows in both firefox and IE when i open a new site/tab. Also seems to slowdown browsing a lot on certain sites. I used hijackthis, spybot, avenger, and avast antivirus. HijackThis identifies the problematic files and removes them, but the malware puts them right back, and every so often changes the files names that it creates. I just don't know how to purge it completely. I also ran these programs in safe mode, which also removes them but then they come back. I'm pretty sure there is no running process for the malware. Well, I used combofix, and at least for now, the problem seems to be completely solved. Thanks anyways for the great work that all you guys do :-)
