zend web site error

Unread postby sdpetersd » November 7th, 2005, 1:35 am

Below is my logfile after running Hijackthis. The problem I am having is when I go to "normal" web sites, I keep ending up at "http://zend/". At first I thought I might be infected with the VX2.BetterInternet Object and tried to go to 'forums.techguy.org/t226924.html' but ended up at 'zend'. I have updated and ran (several times) spybot and mcafee in normal mode and safe mode but neither detect any problem, except spybot keeps telling me a log file called 'SchedLgU.log' cannot be checked and that I have to reboot to fix. After rebooting it still says the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Sincerely,
Dan
ps, I have also ran a2 with no success.

Please disable the following application(s), as it/they may hinder the removal of some entries. You can re-enable them after your computer is clean.

Spybot Search & Destroy (Teatimer)

1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
5) Restart your computer.

I have completed your steps and after rebooting went to a web site that I had problems with. The web site is now available...thanks. Below is the hijackthis log you requested. By the way, I have also been getting the following error message while the computer is booting up:

>>McAfee VirusScan
>>An error occurred while initializing ActiveShield.

>>Method: CoMcAppFactory::Register
>>Result: 0x80004015

Does the above possibly mean this computer has not been registered with McAfee or does this mean something else??

By the way, I have also been getting the following error message while the computer is booting up:

>>McAfee VirusScan
>>An error occurred while initializing ActiveShield.

>>Method: CoMcAppFactory::Register
>>Result: 0x80004015

See if the following posts help:
