arghh drowning in languages

Unread postby pompalomp » September 23rd, 2008, 12:12 pm

Hi,

I have just started my GCSE year and my german lessons have gotten crazy.

I just can't seem to get the grasp of german at all.

If anyone has any tips on learning german i would be very grateful.

Regards,

By a German-English dictionary, and look up common English words in it so that you get most of them at a time.

That's how I learnt French.

German grammar is horrific, have fun with it (I didn't :D ).

I spend a lot of time on the road, so I had a series of German CDs that I listened to continuously, helps a lot in getting your ear used to the rythms of the language.

Doesn't help with the terrible grammar though, nothing does. :( :D
