Hi Trev! Looks like maybe you almost slipped through the cracks, but I was back tonight from a long walkabout! *;-)

Try running AVG with latest definitions in Safe Mode (tap F8 repeatedly while rebooting, select Safe Mode).

While in Safe Mode run HJT and fix check these two entries:

O15 - Trusted Zone: http:// ny.contentmatch.net (HKLM)

O16 - DPF: {DEDA29CA-3653-456E-B4C9-63A5D85D35D6} (AXVidCap Control) - http://www .theadulthub.com/member/Media/Upload/AXVidCap.cab
Comments: an iffy ActiveX, a resource hog if not something darker...Castlecops says kill it and I agree.

Reboot to regular Windows and disable System Restore and reboot. Then re-enable System restore.

http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/D ... estore.htm

Reboot to Safe Mode and run AVG again and make sure it checks out clean.

I'm not too up on A-squared, but if it were me I'd use Microsoft AntiSpyware on your machine for protection along with a good HOSTS file:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Also use SpywareBlaster without a doubt...it is a great freeware protection tool:

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Last...run a good temporary files cleaner...CCleaner or Cleanup4!

http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/

http://www.ccleaner.com/

Viruses, spyware, and trojans LOVE to hide in temporary files folders.

Use a cleaner every day.

Hope that helps...write back and let us know how you progress.
