That isn't really the case, anything that Kaspersky finds needs to be researched to find out if it is actually a threat or just a nuisance.

I still use my first old laptop for my mom.
Is Windows '98 to old to use Kaspersky on?
It has AVG as well.
Is there a good Anti-Mal/AdWare program for that old of a system?
The AdAware software I've always used on it has stopped being able to run/read new definitions files (error message is it can't read the downloaded update). I've reloaded the software twice to no avail.

Kaspersky used to work on '98 machines, but I'm not sure if it still does.
Super Anti-Spyware runs on '98 machines.

As for AdAware, it has been updated, and the new version may not be compatible.

You've been so right on all fronts.

iGoogle has not returned and I will research Kaspersky if I run it.

The newest AdAware doesn't support Windows '98 so thanx for the Super Anti-Spyware, will check that out.

All seems to be running smoothly so guess I have no reason to bug you again for awhile.
Will I still be able to contact you at this link or does the post expire?
