Thanks for the help Katana. The popup problem from before seems to be solved. I haven't seen any since I followed the last set of instructions from Silver. Hopefully, that situation is resolved.

I have not gone through with the system reboot, but am still willing to do so if it is called for.

• Click the red Moveit! button.
• Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it in your next reply.
• Close OTMoveIt2

If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Strictly speaking, the answer to that is YES

Silver would not have recommended it unless it was the safest option.

This infection can almost certainly be cleaned, but as the malware could be configured to run any program a remote attacker requires, it will be impossible to be 100% sure that the machine is clean, if this is unacceptable to you then you should consider reformatting the system partition and reinstalling Windows as this is the only 100% sure answer.

With reformat, your machine is clean
Without a reformat you should not do the following ever again on this machine
Online

Banking
Shopping
log on to any sites that require a password
E-Mail

Offline

Store any private information
Store any passwords
Store any bank details

It may only be a small chance that you would get reinfected, but is it worth the risk ?
