Okay I've been battling with this pop up now for over two days and I'm failing miserably. I've tried multiple detection/removal tools in and out of safe mode to no avail. (Spybot/Avast!/Kaspersky/Smitfraud/RogueScanner/AdAware)
This particular pop up seems to hit hard when trying to open C: or any other drive or randomly while surfing the net. A fake system message will come up stating I have a virus and asks me then to download a antivirus program to remove it. It gives you the choice of yes or no, I have always clicked no, and it always takes me to a fake explorer screen telling me I have a Trojan and I need AdAware to remove it, again I close the browser it forces open. And this continues over and over.
