Infected with XP Antivirus 2008

I really need your help. My computer is infected with XP Antivirus, and regardless of what I try -- I have been unable to get rid of it. I had Norton Antivirus, and supposedly all viruses were removed, but it is still there. So, I went out and purchased McAfee Total Protection with SiteAdvisor Plus. It removed some additional things, but XP Antivirus 2008 is still there.
I continue to get popups telling me I have security problems, and asking me to purchase their product.

What else can I do?
