How about an external hard disk or a flash drive (known as thumb drives or pendrives) ?

If so, can you move all your documents (pictures, music files, videos, documents, etc) to a hard disk or flash drive. This will create some needed space.

Next...

Step 1

Download ATF Cleaner and save it to your desktop.

Double click on ATF-Cleaner.exe to run it.

  • Click on Main at the top.
  • Tick all the boxes except the Prefetch and Cookies box.
  • Click on Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox

  • Click on Firefox at the top.
  • Tick all the boxes except Firefox Cookies and Firefox Saved Passwords.
  • Click on Empty Selected button.

If you use Opera

  • Click on Opera at the top.
  • Tick all the boxes except Opera Cookies and Opera Saved Passwords.
  • Click on Empty Selected button.

Close ATF Cleaner when you are done.

Step 2

  1. Please download OTScanIt.exe from Bleeping Computer by OldTimer and save it to your desktop.
  2. Double click on OTScanIt.exe to run it.
  3. Click on Extract. Once done, you will be prompted. Click OK and click Close.
  4. Double click on the OTScanIt folder. Double click on OTScanIt.exe to run it.
  5. Under Basic Scans section, use the following options:
    • For Drivers, select Non-Microsoft.
    • For File String Search, select Non-Microsoft.
    • For Rootkit Search, select Yes.
    • For Files Modified Within, select 90 days.
  6. Under Additional Scans section, tick these boxes:
    • Reg - BotCheck
    • Reg - ControlSets
    • Reg - Disabled MS Config Items
    • Reg - Safeboot Options
    • Reg - Security Settings
    • Reg - Software Policy Settings
    • Reg - Uninstall List
  7. Click on the Run Scan button at the top left hand corner.
  8. OTScanIt will start running. Once done, Notepad will open. Please post the contents of this Notepad file in your next reply.

You may need several replies as the report can be huge.

Due to lack of response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
