Please note that all instructions given are customised for this computer only, the tools used may cause damage if used on a computer with different infections.

If you think you have similar problems, please post a log in the HJT forum and wait for help.

Unless informed of in advance, failure to post replies within 5 days will result in this thread being closed.

Hello and welcome to the forums

My name is Katana and I will be helping you to remove any infection(s) that you may have.

Please observe these rules while we work:
1. If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
2. Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
3. Please continue to respond until I give you the "All Clear"
(Just because you can't see a problem doesn't mean it isn't there)

If you can do those three things, everything should go smoothly :D

I apologize for the delay in responding, but as you can probably see the forums are quite busy.
Unfortunately there are far more people needing help than there are helpers.

Do you know what these files relate to ?

C:\\d_v_t.reg

The only reference I can find to those files says that they are "Cracks" to obtain free use of NOD32

Download suspicious file packer from here

Unzip it to desktop, do not use it yet

Submit a File For Analysis
We need to have the files below Scanned by Uploading them/it to Virus Total

Please visit Virustotal
Copy/paste the the following file path into the window
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\JOVA\svchost.exe
Click Submit/Send File
Please post back, to let me know the results.

Please do the same for the following file
C:\\d_v_t.reg
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\hblogon.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svdhost.exe

If Virustotal is too busy please try Jotti

Reboot in safe mode
You will now need to reboot in safe mode, you will not have internet access whilst you do the next part
Please copy/paste or print the following instructions.

To reboot in safe mode
You can boot in Safe Mode by restarting your computer, then continually tapping F5 OR F8 until a menu appears.
Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.

Upload a File

Open suspicious file packer & paste in the list of files below, press next & it will create an archive (zip/cab file) on desktop

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\JOVA\svchost.exe
C:\\dvt.exe
C:\\d_v_t.reg
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\hblogon.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svdhost.exe

Now reboot to normal mode

Go to spykiller

Please start a new thread and give the following information
  • Name:-- Your name
  • E-mail:-- Your E-mail (this is confidential and will not be displayed)
  • Subject:-- File for Katana
In the main text window please put the following link
http://malwareremoval.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=29890
you may also add any comments you wish
then press attach and upload the zip/cab file that was created.

Files can be uploaded by anybody but not downloaded at all except for those users that have been given special permissions.
You DO NOT need to be a member to upload, anybody can upload the files

SD Fix

Please download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F5 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

Due to inactivity this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
