SPYWARE INFECTION PLEASE HELP

Laptop - Windows XP - SP2

The screen shows a message "WARNING A THREAT DETECTED IN YOUR PC......."
with a blue background
"CLICK HERE TO SCAN YOUR PC FOR SPYWARE" and then a website selling software opens
while a red framed smaller window Windows security center system warning appears.

The symantec program recommended to disable system restore-run a full scan-reboot-enable system restore, but the problem persists
(One effect is that I can't access my Yahoo mail)

What should I do now TO GET RID OF THIS PROBLEM?

Download and Run HijackThis
Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.

* Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
* By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
* Click on Install.
* It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
* Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
* Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
* Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Optional - VIEWPOINT MANAGER
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article: http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546

I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.

• Viewpoint
• Viewpoint Manager
• Viewpoint Media Player
• Viewpoint Toolbar

Close ALL open windows. Use Ctrl-Alt-Delete together to bring up the task manager.
Under the processes tab, if it is visible, check the box 'Show processes from all users'.

If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.
If that happened we want to know, and also what process you had to end.

Well, I couldn't disable the Anti virus...it doesn't give me the option (it's locked)

Can I see a full HJT log and full combofix log as these seem to be cut off, I need the full logs, repost the logs you will find the combo log here C:\ComboFix.txt.
