Hi,Vasa, and welcome to malwareremoval forums

I'm dan12, I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

Please observe these rules while we work:
  • Perform all actions in the order given.
  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • Stick with it till you're given the all clear.
  • REMEMBER, ABSENCE OF SYMPTOMS DOES NOT MEAN THE INFECTION IS ALL GONE.
If you can do these things, everything should go smoothly.
  • Please note you'll need to have Administrator priviledges to perform the fixes. (XP accounts are Administrator by default)
  • Please let me know if you are using a computer with multiple accounts, as this can affect the instructions given.
It may be helpful to you to print out or take a copy of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.

I'm presently looking over your log and hope not to be too long.
Will be back with you as soon as I can.
Thanks dan

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

Please include in your next post:
  • Report.txt
  • New highjackthis log

Thanks dan

Hi Dan
There are multiple users on this computer. Should I start the SDFix now or wait?

Thanks

Ok, thanks for returned logs, were dealing with a couple of infections, the second I want to see if it's still active so can you..

Download and Run NoLop
Please Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below...
Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

  • First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
  • Double click NoLop.exe to run it.
  • Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"
(your computer will now be scanned for infected files)
  • When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
  • Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
  • A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish.
  • Please post the contents of C:\NoLop.log later.

Note: If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to C:\WINDOWS\system32\ folder then rerun the program.

Post the Nolop log and a further HJT log

Hi, vasa, to make things easy for me, if you could post the logs I ask for. Reason being as I have to give you assurance that at the end of the fix, you are clean, so I have to see these logs I ask for.
Thanks dan :D

Ok, let's press on.
Delete programs
  • Click Start
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs
  • Find and click Remove for the following (if present). It could be that they have a space or something between it , but it has to look like it:
  • GamesBar

**Take care when answering any questions posed by an uninstaller. Some questions may be worded to deceive you into keeping the program.

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present)

Re: New Malware.j

Hi Dan

Sorry about the logs... I figured since nothing happened I shouldn't post them :?

I've started on your next set of instructions, but I'm stuck... I have tried a few times to run the MoveIt - after I paste, I push the MoveIt button and the program beings to run but then it freezes. If I minimize the window it will not pull back up, it always says not responding - I even let it go over night thinking it would come back up. Am I doing something wrong??

Thanks
Anna

See if this helps, if not we will look at another way. :)

Double click on OTMoveIt2.exe to run it.

Copy and paste the following in the Code box into OTMoveIt (1).

Note: Do not type it out to minimize the risk of typo error.

Code: Select all
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sbwltbxa.exe
C:\WINDOWS\alytulmb.dll
C:\Program Files\GamesBar
C:\Program Files\QdrDrive
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\jmjczmzg.dll
C:\Program Files\QdrModule
C:\Program Files\QdrPack
C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm

Click on MoveIt! (2).

Click on Exit (3).

Please refer to this picture for using OTMoveIt.

A log will be produced at C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles\date_time.log, where date_time are numbers.

Please copy and paste this log in your next reply.

ok... I am doing as your directions say. Once I hit move it the line

C:\WINDOWS\system32\sbwltbxa.exe

moves to the results window and says "C:\WINDOWS\system32\sbwltbxa.exe not found"

and again, it will just sit from that point and nothing else moves.

Are you copy and pasting the group of files in together or individually?
copy and paste them all in, click move it then go to C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles\date_time.log, where date_time are numbers. to pickup the log.

I am copying everything in your code box and posting them all in at once.

I attached a copy of the screen.

Ok, let's try something :)

Close ALL open windows. Use Ctrl-Alt-Delete together to bring up the task manager.
Under the processes tab, if it is visible, check the box 'Show processes from all users'.
One at a time, highlight each of these that are listed and "End Process":

sbwltbxa.exe

Now continue with otmoveit2, if your still struggling will try something else :)
