Here's a log from a laptop running windows XP. Symptoms include:
explorer.exe cpu going to 100% Windows attack message popping up and then explorer.exe cpu going to 100% This laptop is running Norton system works but the liveupdate will not work There was an entry that set the DNS to somebody else's DNS. I don't have the DNS servers but they started with 88.*.*.* Some of the registry entries i've added a 2 to the executable name to disable them in order to track down the offending registry entry.
