Yes Nikkj,

These Americans just do not understand the price of fuel.

Try 99.1 pence a litre.

I will leave others to do the conversions for US gallons and USD.

I think thats around $6.60 per US gallon.

One of my niece's is married to an Austrian. The Austrian's father came over this summer to visit the U.S. to tour and see sites such as Yellowstone National Park. Igmar had to convince his dad that they needed to rent a car. His dad did not want to rent a car. I wonder how he thought they would get around. We are a larger country than countries in Europe. We do not have public transportation like you do so I am told. We are more spread out.

I hesitated about posting this gas gauge. Guess it was a bad idea.

No Susan, the gauge was a good idea, it's just that we Brits like to complain about most things (especially public transport and "gas" prices). You've hit the jackpot. :lol:

My brother was in LA last month and came back with some lovely stories about the locals complaining that the "gas" price was affecting the normal way of living.

He thought it was an absolute bargin.
