Please Help....have Trojan Virus infecting my computer

Unread postby TooClose243 » February 12th, 2008, 2:38 pm

My computer is infected with a virus. I use Windows XP Media Edition, and I can't operate my computer unless it is in safe mode. When I try to get to my Task Manager by Ctl+Alt+Delete, I get a warning message that says that Task Manager has been disabled by the Administrator. I constantly get little pop-ups from Windows Security Center that says TrojanDownloader.XS has infected my computer. I do not have internet access, because my provider has shut it down to prevent the spread of the virus, and I am having to use my friend's computer to do this. Also, I have PC Tools Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus and have run it several times and tried to repair the virus, but after I run the program to repair the threats, they keep coming back. When I run the software, it found these 16 threats with 57 infections:

Adware.ActiveSearch
Adware.404Search
Trojan.Adclicker
Adware.CnsMin
Application.Absolute_Key_Logger
Application.Activity_Monitor
Adware.Weird_On_The_Web
Application.AceSpy
Trojan.EShopee
Trojan.Popuper
Dialer.Aconti
Adware.AdBreak
Dialer.AsianRaw
Adware.AdBlaster
Trojan-PWS.Tanspy
Trojan.Generic

After the scan, I just ran HijackThis and here is my log. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will thank you in advance. If I need to include any more information, just let me know.

Re: Please Help....have Trojan Virus infecting my computer

Hi,

If you still need help, please post a new HijackThis log.

In addition, please do the following:

  1. Please download and install CCleaner Slim.
  2. Once installed, double click on the desktop shortcut created.
  3. On the leftmost column, click on Tools.
  4. On the middle column, click on Uninstall.
  5. At the bottom right hand corner, click on the Save to text file... button.
  6. By default, it saves this file to C:\Program Files\CCleaner named install.txt. You may want to save it to your desktop to find it easily. Click Save.
  7. Close CCleaner.

In your next reply, please post:

  1. A new HijackThis log
  2. CCleaner install.txt file
