Blackbo.dll- Combo Fix

Unread postby jayfan » February 6th, 2008, 1:27 am

Hi there. My computer was infected with the "Blackbo.dll" trojan. Not knowing how to properly remove it, I logged onto this forum and found a post/thread where the user was going through the exact problem that I was. From the AVG notices to the failure of HijackThis to remove it, it was the same. The title was "Cannot Remove-Blackbo.dll" and it was posted on January 2, 2008. Here is the link:

viewtopic.php?f=12&p=252984

Following the same instructions given by Trogan in that post, I downloaded and ran Combo Fix with similar success- blackbo.dll has been removed! I was wondering if you could analyze the Combo Fix log to determine whether anything else should be removed through a subsequent running of the program?

Below is the HijackThis log from from 3 days ago, followed by the Combo Fix log from this evening.

Also, I have uninstalled the Combo Fix program, but 1) the clock in the lower right corner of the screen is still on military time- is it supposed to be?, how do I get it back to normal? And, 2) there is now something in local disk C called "kmd.exe" windows command processor- is that supposed to be there?

Thank you in advance for you help/advice! OK, here are the logs. First, HijackThis from 3 days ago:

Re: Blackbo.dll- Combo Fix

Unread postby Trogan » February 11th, 2008, 4:36 pm

Hi Jason,

I don't see any indication of a Firewall in your HijackThis log. This may be because:

(1.) You are using Windows Firewall or a hardware Firewall.
(2.) You are using a Firewall of an unknown vendor.
(3.) You are using a Firewall, but it is disabled for unknown reasons
(4.) You don't use any firewall at all.

In the case you don't have a Firewall, please download one from the list below - They are Free!

Comodo
Zone Alarm
Sunbelt Kerio PF
Outpost Firewall

Apart from that, the HijackThis log is clean. How is the computer running?
