I keep getting messages from the AVG anti-virus program that I have a possible infection of VBS Pyme. Two files are supposedly infected, however, when I try to find the files, I can't find them.

Here is my Hijack This Log... I am especially concerned about two entries:
Both @ O16 DPF....

Hi Zehavi,

I agree that your suspicion regarding your O16s are mailicious is correct.
IP address 69.50.173.166 is part of the Atrivo block, a webhoster known for
hosting *less than legit* sites. Not that the whole of their netblock is bad,
but it won’t hurt anything to fix it.

I don’t see any evidence in your log regarding a VBS.Pyme infection, it might help
if you posted the names of the files, full paths if you have them.

For the while, I suggest the following:

1. I would like you to make sure windows shows your hidden files and folders:
Click here if you need help doing this.

PLEASE NOTE: Windows, by default, hides these files to help avoid accidental deletion.
It is STRONGLY ADVISED that you re-hide these files once we have fixed your system!

2. Run HijackThis
  1. Choose Do a system scan only
  2. Place a check against the following lines:

    O16 - DPF: {55A0A459-00B7-68BE-2711-346736CD375F} - http://69.50.173.166/1/gdnUS1862.exe
    O16 - DPF: {6571081C-B0CC-6666-4B77-127209DA3ECA} - http://69.50.173.166/1/gdnUS1862.exe
  3. Click Fix checked and exit HJT.

3. Run one antivirus at a time
I see both Norton and AVG running. While they are both good programs, it’s not
good practice to run more than one ‘real-time’ AV scanner, as they may (and most
likely WILL) interfere with each other.

Running ‘on-demand’ scans from different companies is a decent idea, as some
AV scanners will pick up on files that others will not.

That being said, pick one and turn off the realtime protection on the other.
This step alone may solve the VBS.Pyme notification.
After making your choice about realtime antivirus scanning, and disabling the other,
you can try one, or both, of the following online scans:
  • Run Trendmicro Housecall
Select the 'Autoclean' option. Please tell me of any files it can't clean.
  • Run Panda Active Scan
Use the default settings and save the log it generates to post in your next reply.

4. Run a new Hijackthis log, and post here along with the Panda scan log, and any other pertinent information,
so we can make sure there’s nothing left to clean!

Woody,

I ran the Panda Active Scan and the Trad Micro Housecall and found nothing. I can't figure out how to access a log fot the Panda Active Scan?

I removed the two items with Hijack This... Here is the log:

Hi Zehavi,

I see that some of the Norton AntiVirus applications aren’t running now.

What (if any) other Norton or Symantec programs do you use?

I ask, as I see many remaining Norton & Symantec entries remaining. Norton can be stubborn to uninstall, if that was your intention, you can
check out the information here. Norton has specific removal progs to help you get rid of their products.
Be sure to check your version closely, as they have different removal tools for each of the different versions.

Other than cleaning up the final potential conflict between Norton & AVG, how is your system behaving?

Please post back and let me know if you require help removing the remainder of Norton (again, if that was your intention)
Otherwise, I’d just like to know how your system is behaving, let me know if we’ve helped you out! :D
