Help needed!

Unread postby clanta » January 24th, 2008, 6:00 am

Hi,
I think I receive a trojan... and the first thing I saw is that the antivisrus is disabled.
I tried to start my antivirus, but message something like "this is not a valid windows32 aplication" appear...
I tried to uninstall antivirus but I can't.
I tried to install another antivirus, but the same message appear...
I tried to install HJT and Spybot S&D and after the end of installation process, when I try to start the program, the same message appear "this is not a valid windows32 aplication"...
What can I do in thsi case? Please help me!
Thanks!

Here's a couple of steps to try and run HijackThis. Follow them in order, if one step doesn't work, continue to the next step:

Step 1
  • Rename HijackThis.exe to H.exe
  • Try a scan.
  • If it works, post the log back here.
  • If not, proceed to the next step.
Step 2
  • Click here here and download Itty Bitty Process Manager (IBProcMan.zip)
  • Unzip it to it's own directory and try running it.
  • A "taskmanager" like process viewer will open in which you can stop running processes.
  • Don't stop any yet.
  • Click on the floppy disk (save) icon to save a copy of your process list.
  • Post the list in the Malware Removals forum, and explain your problems with HJT.
