Running two (2) antivirus tools at the same time is not a good idea and could create major conflicts. You appear to running OPtus and BitDefender at the same time. If so, uninstall one of them please.

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'winsflt.dll' missing

The easiest way to fix the broken chain is to download and use a freeware utility called LSPFix.exe:
http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm (copy to a floppy or pen drive, if necessary –182K file)

Launch the LSP application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

Move nothing just click Finish.

If still no joy, download and run WinsockXPFix:
http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/WinSoc ... xpfix.html
-----> Winsock repair utility designed for Windows XP.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop. Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
  • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
  • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the script.
  • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log.

Please also provide any new current observations.

I tried uninstalling my optus antivirus program (which we had previously tried to do) but it said to use the add or remove programs but i cannot find it in there.
It may be listed under 'F-Secure'

Otherwise,

Show us what is loaded on your PC:
  • Run HijackThis and Click Open the Misc Tools section button.
  • Then click the Open Uninstall Manager… button.
  • Click the Save list… button. Save uninstall_list to your desktop.

  • Open the Uninstall list file and post in your next reply, please.

Run SDFIX if you haven't already done so and post the log it creates and revised HijackThis LOG.

  • Did you find 'F-secure' and uninstall it?
  • Copy and paste the contents of the 'uninstall_list' file (open that file on your desktop in NOTEPAD or other text editor).
  • Find 'Report.txt' generated by SDFIX and post its contents (if available):
(Use <Windows+F KEYS> and paste the FULL FILENAME (above).
Windows KEY is located between the <Ctrl and Alt KEYS>.)
  • Post a revised HijackThis LOG to reflect the results of any changes made by the above procedures.

Sorry was away from my computer and didn't check my emails in that time - didn't realise your topic was still in progress.

OPtusnet is your ISP which provided F-Secure - that one should stay. You should remove Bitdefender as the duplicative antivirus tool.

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 3
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9

Your system has an outdated version(s) of Sun Java that could create serious security exposure issues for your PC.

Update your Java.

Older JAVA versions have vulnerabilities that malware can and are using to infect systems.

Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components.

  • Close any programs you may have running, ESPECIALLY your web browser
  • Click Start > Control Panel.
  • Click Add/Remove Programs.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove all versions of Java.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.0 Update 3 or higher, and install it to your computer.

New Version should show as (HijackThis log):

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\… or higher

Let us know if you still wish to continue with this topic by posting a revised HijackThis LOG and any current observations.
